Welcome to AB Casting Cleaning & Inspection! AB Casting is a family owned and operated business where quality is our priority. We strive to provide our customers with top-tier inspection ground to spec in a timely manner, at an affordable price. We work to help foundries that pour grey and ductile iron save money on sorts, tooling, and customer down time by getting material finished and shipped out quickly.
CEO, Ron Amos has over 35 years of experience working with many different grey and ductile iron foundries. Ron believes quality has been the key to success in keeping customers satisfied along with on-time delivery. Ron deals with the quoting prices for our parts, makes sure everyone is safe when handling the parts. Ron is head of quality and production. Ron makes sure everyone is satisfied, and needs are met when talking to our customers.
Plant Manager, JD Sallee has been helping Ron since 2021. JD’s main focus is working with our customers in the quality department. JD trains our employees on the parts we receive by using the visual standards provided to us by the customer. He helps with shipping and receiving parts, quoting the prices for our customers, inventory, and does the tooling and maintenance repair.
Office Manager, Courtney Sallee makes sure all of the paperwork is ready to send out for our customers. She handles all the billing and invoicing and talking with our customers to make sure everything is ready and up to date.
Our Services
Inspection
Our inspectors are trained for each part based on the visual standard provided by the customer. We specialize in finding and separating unacceptable defects in grey or ductile iron castings ranging from 1 to 50 LBS.
We focus on removing excess material on casting such as gates, parting lines, high flash, and stickers.
We use 30-inch abrasive wheels and 9-inch diamond wheels to remove heavy material and die grinders with carbide bits to remove small stickers and blend parting lines into the castings.
Shot Blasting
We have a tumble blast machine and a belt blast machine, we use these to clean excess sand, rust, or oil off the castings.
AB Casting
AB Casting works with many grey and ductile iron foundries. AB Casting has done a variety of different castings specializing in automotive, diff cases, brake calipers, bearing housings, brackets, etc.
Currently AB Casting has 5 belts conveyors with capabilities to have multiple grinders and inspectors working on each line. AB Casting also has stations for easier parts that only require one inspector. AB Casting two blast machines to help our customers with excess sand or rust removal. Our factory has just over 25,000 sq ft available to warehouse raw and finished castings.
